You’re thinking about franchise ownership. You might’ve been thinking about it for a while, and you’re probably thinking: What type of business am I going to be really good at? But I’m going to come at this from a different way. Today, I want you to be thinking about what your future looks like once the business is successful.
What I see a lot of people do is only look at solving their short-term problems. What are the career problems or life problems that I’m trying to challenge now, that buying a franchise can change? But they’re only looking one to two years out.
As I’ve talked about in another video, the first year is a learning journey. The second year is a build journey. When you consider how franchising can solve your career and lifestyle challenges, you want to be creating your future vision and what your success looks like from year three and on, ideally beyond 7 to 10 years.

What are my top skills that I’m able to leverage in business ownership?
So I’m going to give you a little exercise. It’s as simple as this piece of paper.
On one side of the paper, I want you to write “My Current Reality” and just write all the things that are working for you, in your job, in your life, but also what’s not working for you. What are the things that you want to change?
On the other side of the paper: “What is my Future Reality,” with that future being owning a business that’s enabling you to achieve your financial and lifestyle goals beyond year 3. This is where you get to dream, folks. What type of team do you want to have when you’re building something? Because the type of team you have will dictate how much operational freedom you have. What type of customers do you want? What does your life look like once the team is in place? What kind of income are you generating from your business?
What are you doing with that income? Are you taking all the money out of the business and having a great lifestyle? Or are you leveraging some of it and growing your business to the next level? Think about what type of scalability you want.

What types of work do I dislike and want to avoid as core functions of a business?
What is the business going to do for you? How is it going to solve things for you that your current career hasn’t been able to do up until now?
So think about your future reality. Consider the present things you’re willing to change and make sacrifices for growth, so you can achieve your future reality.
Most people have never bought a business before, so they don’t know what they don’t know. There are a lot of things that you’ve got to think about, and I’m here to help you figure that out.
Let’s have a discussion. Book a call now.
